So, You Want To Be An Entrepreneur ? by Michael Sauvante from the startupsecrets .com web site
Though it sounds like a great book, it’s definitely not worth the price

Review of the "So, You Want To Be An Entrepreneur by Michael Sauvante from the startupsecrets .com web site. Here was a guy who’s been a successful entrepreneur for over 30 years, having started numerous businesses and having what seemed to be quite a bit of success with them.
He has compiled the secrets of his success into a single book, telling not how to go about starting a business but instead what you should do beforehand to get ready to make your business successful. The book seemed a little on the expensive side, but I figured that since I’d been wanting to start a business venture of my own I should go ahead and get it. It takes money to make money, right?
Unfortunately, I don’t really think that the So, You Want To Be An Entrepreneur book was worth $47. Maybe if it had been about $20-$30 cheaper then I’d say it was a great deal, but at the current price it’s definitely not. That’s not to say that it’s a scam or anything, because there is some decent advice here and there in the book.
The problem is that the So, You Want To Be An Entrepreneur book is made to sound like it’s some great secret that will bring you amazing success with what you do, but in reality all that it’s doing is trying to get you in a positive mindset and giving you some really basic advice that’s covered in a lot of other books on starting a business.
The book is divided into 4 sections. The first section is kind of like a “self help” section to help you decide if you’re ready to start a business and to try and get you in the right mindset to succeed, though a lot of what it covers is more or less common sense.
The next 2 sections deal with getting ready to start the business itself, making sure that you take into account things like having enough money to cover your expenses and having a plan on how to get your products or services to those who want them.
The last section of the So, You Want To Be An Entrepreneur book covers a business opportunity that’s alright I suppose, but seeing as how I already had an idea for my new business it didn’t do much for me other than showing examples of the information presented in the previous 3 sections.
I guess when it comes down to it this book isn’t any better or worse than a lot of the business startup and entrepreneur books that are already out there on the market. I think that a lot of the other books cover the material a little better, though, since they show you the initial setup like is covered in this book but also continue on into the practical applications of starting your business and keeping it running.
If you absolutely want to have a separate reference for all of the stuff you should do before starting up a new business then you might like the So, You Want To Be An Entrepreneur book, but you’ll probably still be put off by the price that’s higher than it needs to be.
If you’re looking for a good book on how to start your own business, though, then you should pass this one by and head to your local bookstore instead.
